Week 6: Facebook Business Page

When it comes to using Facebook for a business, there are numerous benefits that ensure success with creating a facebook business page. For instance, an audience is able to look at the post and scroll past it, or engage with it. The difference is that when a person engages with a post on the page, they either like, comment, or share that post. This causes it to show up on their personal timeline for their friends to see it as well, leading more people to see the original business post. Post reach, on the other hand, allows the admin of the business page to see how many people have seen the post in general, not necessarily engaging with it.

Knowing the difference between these two is important because it allows the admin to know how many people have come across the post and also how many people have engaged with the post. These numbers are often very different and there will be more post reach numbers than engagement. It is a helpful indicator for the admin to know the engagement so they are able to enhance it and try to get more members to like, comment, or share the post.

Facebook insights is a very useful tool for businesses because it allows the admin to be able to know the demographics of the people who are engaging with their posts, the numbers of people who have come across or engaged with the post, and what hours of the day those people go on Facebook the most. This is a helpful marketing tool and will allow admins to be able to target their audience more effectively.
